Job Description

Advance Career, on behalf of our client, an established ship management and ship-owning Company, is seeking to recruit a Junior Accountant;

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts/reports, of several entities.
Responsible for the Bank reconciliations and filing of bank advices.
Responsible for the review and booking of all expense reports.
Responsible for monitoring bank account balances and request for funds replenishment.
Assist in the issuance of Invoices.
Assist the Income Tax and VAT reporting/ compliance process.
Assist in the preparation of various weekly/monthly reports (financial, cash flows, budgets).
Assisting in strengthening of internal controls and procedures but also efficiency within the department.
Liaise with External auditors for any explanations/support required.
Liaise with Bankers for transactions execution or follow up.
Stay up to date with all current IFRS and Tax developments.
Should have dynamic knowledge of excel and be able to collate data and prepare reports/ exhibits/ charts for further analysis and reporting.
Become a power user of the IT systems of the department in order to extract information for ad hoc report preparation, but also other routine reporting.

Qualifications:
BSc Accounting/ Finance
Being an ACA/ACCA/CPA student will be considered as an advantage
Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience.
Additional experience in any of the following areas will be considered as an advantage:
Multinational Corporation
Investment Banking institution/ Family office
Experience with SAP ERP will be considered as an advantage
