Job Description

Advance Career, on behalf of our client a Shipping company, is seeking to recruit an experienced Accountant; 

Responsibilities:
Provide day to day support to the operations of the Investments Team including maintenance of records, daily accounting entries and transactions, processing of daily entries, maintenance of investment records and reports, investments’ reconciliation
Provide support for the preparation of management accounts and various other day to day related tasks that will be assigned by the Department’s Manager.
Deal with investment related transactions and operations, providing support to the rest of the team

Qualifications:
Degree in Finance, Accounting or related subject
Fluency in both Greek and English
Working towards a professional accounting qualification would be considered an advantage
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an investment, finance or accounting role.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in dealing with investment related transactions and operations
Previous exposure within International companies such as financial service providers and investment companies will be considered an advantage
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools – especially required to be an advanced user of Excel spreadsheets and preparation of ad hoc reports
Genuine interest in the wider sector of finance and investments
Familiar with the terminology applied in the finance and investment sectors
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work both alone and under supervision
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Efficient time management
