Job Description

Advance Career, on behalf of our client, a Forex Organization in Limassol, is seeking to recruit a Chief Accountant;

Responsibilities:
Manage all financial books and records and trial balances for the group entities, ensuring they are maintained in an accurate and timely basis, assuring their integrity.
Own the monthly closing processes, in collaboration with standalone companies’ accountants and others within the business to ensure the accurate and timely consolidation and production of financial statements.
Ensure accurate processing of accounts payable and partner payments, including the calculation, review, and settlement of partner payments.
Manage the external reporting process, ensuring the group’s statutory financial statements, including supporting notes, are prepared in accordance with the relevant jurisdictions IFRS/GAAP requirements.
Ensure all regulatory returns provided by Finance are completed and filed in an accurate and timely manner.
Manage the group’s accounting policies including compliance with existing policies and implementation of new policies as appropriate, while working toward the ideal of global consistency.
Manage the accounting research process for the group including staying current on changes to accounting pronouncements and guidance under relevant IFRS/GAAP, interpretation of new accounting requirements and preparation of position papers on complex accounting issues.
Management of the external audit relationship, coordination of the audit schedule and discussions with senior audit management on interpretation of complex accounting issues.
Management of the group’s internal controls over financial reporting.
Implement and carry out control’s reviews in partnership with Internal Audit.
Maintain records of procedures and policies, making improvements to existing processes.
Be a knowledge broker and welcome change in the quest for efficiency and improvement.

Qualifications:
ACA or ACCA Qualification.
Degree in Accounting or Finance.
2-5 years post qualification experience with proven experience in a Finance function.
IT literate and excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Well organized, capable of multi-tasking and organizing work of others to ensure delivery of tight deadlines.
Flexible, team player with experience of staff management.
Professional discipline with a strong work ethic.
Willingness to assume responsibility.
