Job Description

Advance Career, on behalf of our client, a luxurious Holiday Hotel/Apartments located in Paphos, is seeking to recruit an Accountant;

Responsibilities:
Manage all accounting transactions
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Ensure timely bank payments
Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
Liaise with external auditors for the annual statutory audit
Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
Comply with financial policies and regulations
Process payments to suppliers and payroll
Reconcile services in the hotel reservation software (Fidelio) with agents and issue the invoices
Review, send and post invoices to Tour Operators exported from Fidelio software
Prepare and post long-term contracts invoices in the system
Prepare statements to apartment owners and make the relevant payments
Deposit cheques in the bank
Review invoices received from suppliers before posting them into the system

Qualifications:
Work experience as an Accountant at least 2 years
BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the IFRSs
Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks
Advanced MS Excel skills
Experience with general ledger functions
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
Previous experience in the hospitality industry will be considered as an advantage
Working hours: 9:00 – 17:00
